Recently, the evaluation results of the 2020 Shanxi Science and Technology Awards were released, and two achievements of Changjiang Steel, “Development and Application of Key Technologies for Production of High-Quality Special Steel for Welding Wire in Many Fields” and “Development and Application of Ultra-Low Flue Gas Emission and High-Efficiency Sintering Process”, both had the honor of winning the third prize. As the highest science and technology awards in Shanxi Province, they were established by the People’s Government of Shanxi. “Development and Application of Key Technologies for Production of High-Quality Special Steel for Welding Wire in Many Fields” successfully developed steel for welding materials for special plates used in construction machinery, fire resistance and weather resistance, and realized the industrialized production of the first batch of wire rod products in China and supplied them to world-renowned welding materials enterprises, forming a resultant force of steel plates and welding technology, and promoting the common development and progress of related plates and upstream and downstream industries. It has been evaluated by the Evaluation Committee of the Shanxi Metal Society as leading in China.

“Development and Application of Ultra-Low Flue Gas Emission and High-Efficiency Sintering Process” developed key technologies of sintering flue gas coupling cross-circulation and sintering low oxygen flue gas circulation and reuse. The implementation of the project has achieved the goals of the emission reduction, consumption reduction and quality improvement of the sintering process, and created direct economic benefits of RMB 15.3517 million and a decrease of 32.3% in the total amount of flue gas discharged from sintering, creating remarkable ecological and environmental benefits. According to the evaluation of experts organized by the Shanxi Metal Society, the development, popularization and application of the project comply with national industrial policies, and the technical level of the project has reached the leading level in China, which has important demonstration significance for the high-quality green development of the sintering process. The project has broad prospects for popularization and application.
