During this critical period with the whole of China joined together to fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, and according to the unified deployment of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration of People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Shougang Group organized an emergency blood donation campaign with the theme of “Shougang staff voluntary blood donation showing love without boundary to fight against the virus” from February 12 to 13. It was met with overwhelming response and registration from the majority of cadres and staff, totaling 107 employees hailing from various units in Beijing, with a total blood donation volume of 21,870 ml.

In order to ensure order in this event, Shougang especially formulated a blood donation program. The Administrative Management Center as the lead unit of this event coordinated and liaised with the Beijing Red Cross Blood Center to arrange blood donation vehicles to Shougang for collection, besides coordinating all units for participation. According to the requirements of the epidemic prevention and control, the Park Service Company disinfected the blood donation venue and temperature screening for every personnel. The Park Management Department also coordinated traffic direction and vehicle guidance. In order to reduce the gathering of personnel and strictly prevent and control the epidemic situation, Shougang made careful arrangements for this event, organized blood donation staff of each unit to donate blood at different time slots and with different groups, apart from carrying out procedures such as registration, blood pressure measurement, and laboratory testing.
