On October 9, the Beijing Ducks held the "Day of One-mindedness" Swearing-in Ceremony of Season 2024–2025 at the Shougang Sports Building. It was attended by Zhang Jianyong, Party Secretary and Board Chairman of the BAIC Group, Jiang Zili, Deputy Party Secretary and Board Director of the BAIC Group, Chen Wei, Deputy General Manager of the BAIC Group, Zhao Minge, Party Secretary and Board Chairman of the Shougang Group, and Hu Xiongguang, Deputy Party Secretary, Worker's Director, and Chairman of the Shougang Trade Union, and Executive Director of the Beijing Ducks.

 In his speech, Zhang Jianyong stated that the BAIC Group and Shougang Group reached a strategic cooperation agreement last year, marking that BAIC had officially become the title sponsor of the Beijing Ducks. Over the past year, BAIC and the Beijing Ducks have joined hands to boost the development of the basketball teams and wider sports industries in Beijing. Through basketball games, BAIC has drawn closer to fans and consumers, invigorated brand vitality, and improved brand value. Today, we come together to commence cooperation between the two sides in the upcoming year and usher in the new season. 

Zhang Jianyong said that sportsmanship in basketball requires united efforts, the courage to challenge, and unrelenting passion, which complies with BAIC's corporate spirit that advocates readiness for collaboration, defiance in the face of challenges, and the confidence to win. BAIC will jointly promote the development of sports with more benefits. He wishes the Beijing Ducks the best in the new season and win-win results for the BAIC Group and Shougang Group.

Zhao Minge stated in his speech that there has never been a company connected so deeply with China's sports industry as the Shougang Group. More than 20 years ago, Shougang relocated for the 2008 Summer Olympics; two years ago, the Group fully guaranteed the operations of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics; and during the recent National Day holidays, the 2024 China Smash was held in Shougang Park. Sports have promoted Shougang Park to become a new landmark of the revitalization of Beijing. No company has ever been so fortunate as the Shougang Group to keep playing a significant role in Beijing's history of basketball. Since 1988, the Beijing Ducks have won 10 championships for Beijing. Despite such glorious achievements, there have also been downtrodden periods. However, whatever the team's performance, the members have always depended on each other and kept on moving, winning the favor of fans and the citizens of Beijing. No Chinese basketball team other than the Beijing Ducks has been supported by two Fortune 500 companies. Last year, the joining of BAIC breathed new life into the team.

Zhao Minge hopes that the Beijing Ducks and Beijing Great Wall will show the corporate spirit, faith, and work ethics in both their prime and adverse times, keep in mind their position as "a Beijing-based team fighting for Beijing", present exciting sports feats to citizens, facilitate the zeal of fans across the country, bring positive energy to the Shougang Group and sponsors, and strive to become one of Beijing's calling cards.

Hu Xiongguang awarded morale-boosting flags to the men's and women's basketball teams, namely the Beijing Ducks and Beijing Great Wall.

Zhang Yunsong, Executive Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Ducks, presented new season jerseys to the new players of the men's and women's teams. Men's Head Coach Xu Limin and Captain Zhai Xiaochuan, as well as Women's Head Coach Zhang Lin and Captain Qi Site, made their respective statements. After that, gifts and blessings were presented to the teams by their respective title sponsors.

The event included interactions between players and fans. The responsible person of Li-Ning Company Limited told the story behind the new jerseys commemorating the 30th anniversary of the CBA, the experience of fans, and the interpretation of new merchandise for the new season. The responsible person of the BAIC Group announced and demonstrated the benefits of the new season for fans.

It was learned that both teams have been expanding. The new members of Beijing Great Wall include Zhao Zhifang, Zhang Jingyi, Yu Jiarui, and Zhang Yeyao, while those of the Beijing Ducks include Zhang Penghui, Zhi Chuang, Wen Song, Zhou Qi, Chen Yingjun, Eugene German, Richard Solomon, and Nuni Omot. According to the schedule, the main home stadium of the Beijing Ducks is the Capital Indoor Stadium, and the backup home stadium is the Beijing Shougang Ice Hockey Arena, which will also serve as this season's home stadium of Beijing Great Wall. On October 13, the Beijing Ducks will compete against the Shanghai Sharks in the home opener.
